For the past two years, word of mouth has grown this East Atlanta small business from home kitchen to café. The cult- like enthusiasts have even created their own motto for the company, “I can’t live on cupcakes alone…but I’ll try.” The vision of its owner, Victor Ledbetter of VLL Holdings, has always been to brand his delicacies as a favorite in the greater Atlanta area. As a leader in corporate America, Ledbetter took his passion for cooking and entertaining and created a customer-focused business design. “It’s been no small feat but I have built quite a loyal following,” says Ledbetter.
What sets The Cup apart from the inundated market of cupcake shops that have saturated many major cities is the interwoven styles of southern decadence and urban panache. Mr. Ledbetter desires for his patrons a couple of things. “I want customer service to be paramount. A level that is equal to the quality of cupcake that we serve.” Customers are encouraged to come in and stay in the ultra cozy lounge while they enjoy their guilty pleasure, preferably with a steaming cup of coffee or Tea Forte brand dessert or herbal green tea.
